Detailed descriptionThis project investigates ion acceleration at an oblique quasi-parallel shock, using a continuous inflow of particles through the left hand boundary, adn a perfectly reflecting wall on the right hand side. This particle reflection will develop a shock wave in between the stagnant reflected plasma on the right hand side and the upstream region on the left.
