Detailed descriptionThis project investigates ion acceleration at an oblique quasiparallel shock, using a continuous inflow of particles through the left hand boundary, adn a perfectly reflecting wall on the right hand side. This particle reflection will develop a shock wave in between the stagnant reflected plasma on the right hand side and the upstream region on the left.

CoordinatesThe simulation uses a 2D coordinate system, where X is parallel with the shock normal, and y is perpendicular to it. Zcomponents are included in velocity space and magnetic field. 
Initial conditionsBx = 0.87, By = 0.5, and Bz = 0. 
ParametersGrid size: Nx=6400, Ny=256; Time step: dt=0.005 in units of inversed proton gyrofrequency. Cell size: dx=dy=0.5 in units of proton inertial length.
